Jeff Wood, Member Media & Advertising Help

Jeff considers himself a native of St. Louis, but actually spent only a few years there, his elementary school years. He attended high school in Wisconsin, and graduated college there with a bachelor arts degree in philosophy. He completed a year of graduate work in theology in New York. All three institutions were seminaries preparing young men for the Catholic priesthood and operated by the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, a large order of priests and brothers. Wood decided to abandon that calling two years prior to ordination. He spent three years as a member of the order.

He returned to St. Louis and worked for his dad as a newspaper reporter/ photographer/ graphic artist (it was a REALLY small newspaper) for three years, until the newspaper went out of business. He then moved to Little Rock and worked the editorial desk at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. He was promoted to night City Editor in 1979. In 1980, he went to work in the media department at Cranford/Johnson/Robinson/Woods, Arkansas’ largest advertising agency, and in 1983 quit the agency to go into media sales. He worked four years in advertising sales at KATV (Channel 7) in Little Rock, and ten years in radio advertising sales (mostly in sales management) in Little Rock, Hot Springs and at KIX-104 in Fayetteville. In 1997 he left KIX-104 and founded Marketing Partners Advertising Inc. in Springdale.

He currently handles active accounts in Arkansas and Texas, but has purchased advertising throughout the United States. He works mostly with traditional media, for example, television, radio, newspaper, outdoor billboards and direct mail. He is a past president of the Northwest Arkansas Advertising Federation, and a member of the Board of Directors of Springdale Rotary Club. He also is a member of the Fayetteville- Springdale Elks Club, past president of the Country Dance Club in Springdale, and a volunteer lay minister at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Springdale. He currently resides in Springdale with his wife, Debbie. One of his stepsons, Christopher Senteney, lives in Fayetteville. His other stepson, Joshua Senteney, and two grandsons live in Little Rock. He and his wife taught country and western dancing for over 20 years. In his spare time he enjoys dancing, reading, hiking and an occasional poorly played game of golf.
